Interested in learning more about personality, psychopathology, and health? Apply to work with us, and gain valuable research experience! The APPT Lab is always looking for hard-working, bright, and motivated student research assistants to help out in the lab. Student research assistants gain hands-on experience doing a variety of tasks that range from data analysis to survey construction and working with actual research participants. This can be a rewarding experience for anyone thinking of going to graduate school and wanting to learn more about psychological research. In addition to actively participating in research, you might also have the opportunity to present findings at conferences. You could also possibly earn letters of recommendation, but I need to know you more than one semester to write a letter.
We accept students who are simply looking to volunteer their time, as well as those who would like to receive course credit. Both volunteers and students seeking course credit are required to work a minimum of 8-10 hours per week in the fall and spring semesters.
Please fill out this brief questionnaire to start the application process. After your form is complete, someone will contact you to set up an interview. Please check out our current research webpages to learn more about our current projects.
Thanks for your interest in our work!
