Below is a link to the Multidimensional Inventory of Hypochondriacal trait (MIHT). The measure has been validated and published. There is a downloadable copy of the scale and the corresponding article. The MIHT is copyrighted and you must ask both the American Psychological Association and Dr. Longley for permission to use the measure. If you have questions regarding the MIHT or this website let me know.
Below are links to three video clips of interviews Dr. Longley gave on WEIU, the local PBS station. The first video is Connect, a program that showcases EIU faculty members’ research. The project highlighted is Dr. Longley’s Internet Delivered Empirically Based Treatment for Somatic Symptom, Mood, and Anxiety Disorders (IDEBT). IDEBT is an integrated primary care psychotherapy study for underserved, rural patients that uses the Unified Protocol, a transdiagnostic approach to psychotherapy.
The two additional videos are Being Well programs that present health related information for the general public. Lori Banks, the WEIU Production Manager, and Dr. Longley discuss major depressive disorder and the anxiety disorders, two common and manageable mental health problems.
